2. Information we collect

Depending on the features you use, we may collect and process:

• User and account data: Name, email address, phone number, username, encrypted/hashed authentication credentials and account status.
• Shop/business data: Shop name, owner name, GST number, alternate phone number, shop address, city, state and PIN code.
• Order and transaction data: Products ordered, quantities, prices, taxes, delivery details, order status and payment-related references.
• Location data: Shop coordinates or location information only when a feature that requires location is used and permission is granted.
• Images/files: Profile or other images you voluntarily upload through supported app features.
• Device and technical data: Device information, app/device tokens, sign-in/session information and technical records needed to operate and secure the service.
• Support communications: Information you provide when contacting support or when service-related emails are sent.

3. How we use information

We use information to provide and secure ICS Shopkeeper, including to create and authenticate accounts, manage shopkeeper profiles, display products and pricing, process carts and orders, process or verify payments, provide delivery and order status information, send service communications, prevent misuse and fraud, troubleshoot problems, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell personal or sensitive user data.

4. Data sharing and service providers

We may share only the information necessary to operate the requested service with trusted service providers. This may include hosting/infrastructure providers, email delivery providers, payment processors such as Razorpay when online payment is selected, and other operational providers used to fulfil an order or support the service.

We may also disclose information when required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, our business, or the security of the service.

5. Android permissions

ICS Shopkeeper may request device permissions only when required by a feature. For example, location may be used for shop or delivery-related location features, and camera or media access may be used when you choose to capture or upload an image. Permission access is subject to your device settings, and you can revoke permissions through Android settings.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, loss or misuse. Authentication passwords are stored using one-way hashing rather than plain text. Production communication with our services should use HTTPS encryption in transit.

No system can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their credentials and devices.

7. Data retention and account deletion

We retain account information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, meet business requirements and comply with applicable laws.

You may request permanent deletion of your ICS Shopkeeper account using our public account deletion page. When the deletion is completed, the account and associated application data are permanently removed from our active system. Certain limited records may be retained only where retention is required for legitimate legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, dispute-resolution or regulatory obligations. Any retained information is limited to the purpose and period for which retention is required and is not used to continue the deleted account.

8. Your choices and rights

You may review or update supported profile information in the app, manage Android permissions through your device settings, contact us regarding your personal information, or request deletion of your account. Rights available to you may also depend on the laws that apply in your location.
